Come visit us on Main Street!  Our store is surrounded by New England landmarks in Connecticut’s oldest historic district.  So historic, George Washington slept next door.  And so picturesque, Hallmark films their Christmas movies right outside.  (Ask us which one our storefront has a cameo in).

The Old Wethersfield Country store is now over ten years old, and under the ownership of Margie Bausmith since August of 2023.  Some things have changed, but many are the same.

We’re a community mainstay, and like any good country general store, we have some of everything.  The penny candy, vintage Necco wafers, and local Avery’s sodas bring in every town sweet tooth, from kids to grandparents.  We prioritize local producers and work with local artisans from the Wethersfield area to bring you a fun and very browsable variety: snacks, coffees and teas, spices and other kitchen must-haves, plus home decor, and for your self-care, candles, soaps and incense (and cocktail mixers).  We also stock books, puzzles, games, vintage toys, and ever-changing seasonal surprises.
